Catching Memories

This blog will be dedicated to my first pet dog, Stout. No, I haven't just got her today. In fact, I got her a long time ago, on 2 May 2001. That makes her 8 years old this year, and she's one old, fatty bitch that's still active and full of zest right now...

I just watched Marley & Me in the cinema, and the film was based on the book Marley & Me by John Grogan, which I own too. I am very inspired to keep my memories about my dear first doggy and if possible, write a book about her in the future. Or simply, keep the memories for my children or grandchildren to enjoy about.

I have always wanted to be a writer someday and I must admit that the reason why I am not one right now is simply because I can't write very well. Good enough to be understood, but not fantastic enough to earn "bestsellers" in any book store. But I am going to try - for the kind of relationships between Stout and I, I will try.

8 years and lots of things... It's going to be hard to catch up. It's going to be even harder as I try to record things about her from today onwards, at the same time, recollect the events that are so far down memory lane. But, I believe this blog will be a good one someday, bursting with entries that's full of love, fun, laughters, frustrations, and maybe sadness, hopefully to a minimum.

Right now, Stout is lying right outside the doorway to my studyroom, just like she always does when I type away at the computer with a "I am busy" look on my face. That way, she knows what's going on in the studyroom and at the same time, she could keep a ear and an eye on the gate for unsuspecting salesman or fliers-distributors.

Love that big black furball. Going to give her a hug right now.
